THE JORDAAN
The Bloemgracht (flower canal) is a quiet canal in the middle of the Jordaan area,
near the famous Westerkerk with its carillon, faintly to be heard in the studio.
At the end of the Bloemgracht you’ll find the Anne Frank house, opposite of which you can take a canalboat for a memorable tour around the canals. The view of Amsterdam from the water is magical. The Jordaan area is known for its restaurants, terraces and quaint little shops amidst beautiful quiet canals, small streets and hidden courtyards. Bike rental Bike City is just across the canal. Tram, bus and taxi are to be had at the Westermarkt (next to the church) at a 5 minutes walk. Every Monday there is a vintage/flee market at the Noordermarkt. A great place to stroll around and grab a coffee. A favorite spot for many locals. Saturday there’s a farmersmarket at the same spot. Ideal for shopping dutch delicacies and flowers.
Absolute worth a visit!
